Blog about XO games

Our new topic was to upload XO games from computer to sugar. I loved playing new XO games it was fun and it was intrestiing aswell. I tried lots of game but then i have decided to choose gcompris billiard. This activity was good. In this activity we just have to hit the ball with mouse like billiards and the ball should go into the hole. This activity is easy for the people who can aim properly. I have screen shot of this activity.



I would rate this activity *** stars. and it is suitable for 8 year old and over.
The positive things about this game is anyone can play because its not violent or any vulgar game.
The negative about this game is this is to easy because hole is too big and level does not change same level.
I learned how to pour the ball from far away and if u want to download this game just go to google and write gcompris billiard.

E-toys Activity

Our year 10 control tech class has been doing activities on a proggrame called E-toys in sugar for about last 2 weeks.

We had lots of different activities to do but I have chossed to blog about random racing because i thought this was the best activity. In this activity i had to draw two cars and race them by giving commands with random speed and we had to add a timer for it to check how much seconds it takes the car to finish the race. It was hard doing it but after i took help of MR Kerr and my class mates i got it. This was the best activity thought and it was really very fun doing it.



Thats what activity looked like and even i have script for it.



I enjoyed using E-toys and it was fun using it.

Changing a XO icon

We are working on xo icon from last 2 weeks and our task was to make an svg icon in HTML and load it on a sugar.

We started making an Xo icon i was thinking what to make and finally i got an idea to make a cross i choosed cross because its easy. so i started making a cross it took me 4 lesson to make it. it was pretty hard i used polyline points to make it. then it was time to put on sugar i tried once but xo icon disapper and i couldn't see any icon. I tried another time same result again and finally in third time i knew what my mistake was so i got it and it looked like this



I tried to change colour i failed to change my colour.I really enjoyed making an svg icon and loading up on sugar. I learned lots of things.

First Impression

I thought that XO is great because its small, easy to use. Some of the activities are fun and some are different like physics its fun because u can create all different types of games. But I don't like keypads of Xo because it's small.

Joel stanley

Mr. Kerr had organised for a guest speaker to come into our class and talk about the XO. This guy was Joel Stanley. Mr.Kerr decided to let us ask the questions and then Joel will answer them while we take notes. In this blog I will be writing some of the questions.
1 What are you currently doing now?
A.1 Right now I am currently studying Computer Systems Engineering at Adelaide University.
2 Why did you choose to do Computer Systems Engineering?
A.2 I decided to do this course when my school decided to go on a tour around different universities and campuses in Year 10 and I found that computer engineering interested me a lot.
3 How did you learn to touch type?
A.3 I learnt like most other teenagers by using MSN (Windows Live Messenger, an online chatting program).
4 How much is XO?
A.4 Xo is about 150 U.S dollar.
5 How are you apart of the XO project?
A.5 I help make and develop the XOs. I also bake XOs in a pie oven which we bought off EBay at 65 degrees Celsius.
6 Why 65 degrees?
A.6 This is to test that the XO will be able to survive in hot temperatures. Third world countries, their temperature can sometimes reach up to 65 degrees.
7 How long have you been a part of this Project?
A.7 I worked on this project for about 10 weeks.
8 On XO what are the two things on top?
A.8 On Xo the two things on are called Antenna.

I really enjoyed this double lesson and It was helpfull beacuse I learned more things about XO.
